Brick Cleaning and Soft Washing in Beaconsfield
Brick cleaning and soft washing in Beaconsfield: black algae and lichen treated on brick retaining walls and copings, then rinsed at low pressure.
Solar Panel Cleaning · Buckinghamshire
Larger Beaconsfield homes often carry more than one array: a main roof, a garage, sometimes a frame in the garden. We clean each with de-ionised water and a soft brush, and plan access around the whole property.
Before we start
On a bigger plot, panels rarely sit in just one place. A south-facing main roof, a lower extension, a garage or stable block and a ground-mounted frame can all feed the same system, and each gathers dirt differently. We walk the whole property at the site visit and look at every array before recommending anything.
Beaconsfield homes
Beaconsfield has two distinct halves: the Old Town, with its period brick and clay tile around the broad historic high street, and the newer town that grew up around the railway station. Beyond both lie larger detached houses on generous plots, many of them reached along private roads and long driveways.
Those larger homes are where we tend to find solar spread across several roofs, outbuildings and garden frames. Mature trees are common in the gardens and in the green villages around the town, so leaves, pollen and bird droppings arrive at different rates on each array. A panel on an open garage roof can stay fairly clear while one below an oak dulls far sooner.
Different arrays
Each kind of installation is reached and cleaned slightly differently, and on a larger property you may well have all of them wired into one system.
Different aspects
Pitch and direction change how quickly a panel soils. A steeper array sheds rain and loose dust more readily, while a shallow one, often found on extensions and flat-roofed garages, lets water sit and dry along its lower edge.
Panels facing a stand of trees collect pollen, sap and droppings far faster than those facing open lawn. That is why we look at each set separately and may suggest cleaning one more often than another, rather than treating the system as a single job with a single interval.
Access and logistics
On larger plots the practical details matter as much as the cleaning. Before the day, we confirm where the van can park, how far the hose has to run to reach a rear garden or a distant frame, and any gate arrangements or times to avoid.
Where an array sits above a conservatory, a glass roof or delicate planting, we agree how to work around it at the site visit, so nothing has to be improvised once we arrive.
Our method
A bigger system follows the same sequence as a small one; it simply takes the arrays one at a time, with access agreed for each in advance.
We note every array on the roof, on outbuildings and in the garden, its pitch and height, the state of its frames and seals, and the safest way to reach it.
Pure de-ionised water feeds a soft-bristle brush on a telescopic pole. Roof arrays are worked from ground level where possible, so no one climbs onto the panels or the tiles.
Grime, moss and leaf fragments that collect where the glass meets the bottom frame are cleared, since that strip holds water longest after rain.
Every panel gets a final rinse with de-ionised water and dries by itself. No cloth or squeegee touches the glass afterwards, so it finishes clear.
We walk round each array with you, mentioning anything that looked wrong, such as a cracked panel, a lifted clip or a perished seal, and which set may need cleaning more often.
Fair expectations
Clean glass lets more daylight through, but we do not promise any particular change in output; that depends on how soiled the panels were, the weather and the system itself. Cleaning also has clear limits.
Why us
We have worked on homes in Beaconsfield and know its mix of period houses, larger detached properties and tree-lined plots.
Roof, outbuilding and ground-mounted panels are each assessed on their own merits, rather than cleaned as one undifferentiated job.
De-ionised water and soft bristles only. No detergent, no chemical and nothing abrasive goes near the glass, frames or seals.
Fully insured operatives who work from the ground wherever possible and agree any other access with you in advance.
Nearby
Our visits take us beyond the town to Seer Green, Jordans, Knotty Green, Forty Green and Wooburn Green, as well as Penn. Several of these sit among heavier tree cover than the town itself.

Questions
Yes. Ground-mounted frames are the easiest to reach, so each panel is brushed and rinsed individually, and the frames and supports are cleared of grass cuttings, leaves and moss as part of the visit.
Yes. Lower roofs are cleaned in the same way as the main house, with de-ionised water and a soft brush. They often sit close to hedges and trees, so they may need cleaning more often.
Usually because of its angle and what surrounds it. A shallow array lets water and dust settle along the lower edge, and one facing trees catches pollen, sap and droppings. We look at each separately and suggest an interval for each.
Clean glass lets the cells receive more of the available light, but the change varies with how dirty the panels were, their pitch, shading and the weather. We will not put a number on it, because it differs from roof to roof.
We confirm parking, gate access and how far the hose needs to run when we visit, so the crew arrives knowing exactly where to set up and nothing has to be worked out on the doorstep.
Usually, yes, as it is simplest and avoids a second visit. Occasionally one array needs more frequent attention than the rest, and we will say so if it would be more sensible to clean that one on its own.
