The Chiltern Standard

The surface comes first.

Every surface is different. Its material, age, condition, contamination, jointing, surrounding areas and access all affect how it should be cleaned and restored.

That’s why we assess before we act. We choose the method, pressure, treatment and access equipment around the surface itself — not around what is quickest or easiest for us.

Sometimes that means low-pressure cleaning. Sometimes it means specialist chemical treatment, manual work or powered access that allows us to work closer and with greater control. Where appropriate, we finish with Chiltern EverGuard™ Treatment to help inhibit biological regrowth and keep restored surfaces cleaner for longer.

The principle is simple: understand the surface, use the right method, and never compromise it for speed.

Why homeowners choose us

The difference is in how we work

Trust signals are a given. These are the reasons customers choose Chiltern Surface Co over another company.

  • We Restore Surfaces, Not Just Clean Them

Most companies focus on cleaning. We focus on restoration — every surface is assessed individually and treated using the correct methods, pressures and products to achieve the best possible result without causing damage.

  • Exclusive Chiltern EverGuard™ Protection

A clean surface is only the beginning. Our Chiltern EverGuard™ treatment penetrates the surface and helps prevent moss, algae, lichen and other biological growth from returning, keeping properties cleaner for longer.

  • Exceptional Attention to Detail

Where required, we re-sand block paving and mechanically compact the sand with a professional vibrating plate compactor, ensuring every joint is properly filled and stabilised. We also clear drainage channels, tidy edges and remove debris — the finishing touches many companies overlook.

  • Surface-Specific Expertise

Resin, block paving, natural stone, tarmac, render and roofing all require different approaches. We select the correct cleaning systems and treatments for each surface rather than applying a one-size-fits-all method.

  • Owner-Led Quality Control

Every project carries the owner's name and reputation. That's why we maintain exceptionally high standards, communicate clearly throughout the process and never cut corners.

  • Results That Last

Anyone can make a driveway look good for a day. Our goal is to leave surfaces cleaner, healthier and better protected for months and years to come.

Founder, Chiltern Surface Co

Before launching Chiltern Surface Co, our founder spent many years working in the television industry as a Director of Photography, where attention to detail, organisation, reliability and problem-solving were essential every day.

Those same standards now shape the way the company approaches exterior surface care across Buckinghamshire. When you work with Chiltern Surface Co, you deal directly with the owner — personal reputation and accountability on every job.

No call centres, no subcontractors, no shortcuts — just careful, considered work from a team whose reputation rides on every property they treat.

Every property is treated with the same level of care we'd expect at our own home.
