The town

An office district, working estates and a historic High Street

Watford lies about 29 miles from our base in Marlow, by the M40 and the M25, which meets the town at junctions 19 and 20; the M1 joins at junction 5. Its commercial property runs from office blocks and business parks to trade counters, industrial units, schools, care homes and residential buildings run by managing agents.

Clarendon Road
Running from the town centre towards Watford Junction station, Clarendon Road is the borough's main office district: tall glazed and clad blocks with entrance canopies, signage and a link bridge over the road. Entrances stay open throughout, with the work moved from one zone to the next.
Business parks and estates
Watford Business Park, in the west of the town, mixes industrial and warehouse units, with thirteen new units at its entrance completed in 2023. Greycaine Road, the Odhams Trading Estate, Imperial Way and Wiggenhall Road are other working areas, with yards, loading doors and trade counters.
High Street and King Street
The town's only concentration of 16th- and 17th-century buildings lies in the High Street and King Street conservation area: mostly two-storey brick fronts, some over older timber frames, under clay-tile or slate roofs.
Local conditions
Traffic on the ring road, the A41 and the A411 leaves a film on roadside elevations, and mature trees along Clarendon Road and around Cassiobury shade façades and drop leaves into gutters.
Around Watford
Croxley Green and Croxley Park, Bushey, Oxhey, Garston, Abbots Langley, Kings Langley and Rickmansworth.

Safety and site control

Planned before we arrive

Roofs
We identify the roof covering before any work is proposed and request the asbestos register. Asbestos-cement and fragile roofs are never pressure-washed or walked on.
Wash water
We plan wash-water control and drain protection for every site.
Listed and conservation buildings
We use test areas and low-pressure methods on listed and conservation-area buildings.
Schools and care settings
We work in school holidays and INSET days, or behind exclusion zones away from pupils and residents.

Questions

Common questions

Can you clean office blocks on Clarendon Road while they are occupied?

Yes. The survey maps entrances, footways and car parks, and the work moves zone by zone behind cordons, so staff and visitors keep their access wherever the site allows. Out-of-hours working is available.

Do you take on industrial units and trade counters as well as offices?

Yes. Units on Watford Business Park and the other estates are surveyed for their cladding, roofs, gutters and yards, and one fixed-price proposal covers the surfaces that need work.

How soon can you survey a site in Watford?

We visit within five working days of your request, and the site survey is free.

Will cleaning remove every mark from the cladding?

No, not always. Weathered coatings and staining that has soaked into a surface may only improve, and the survey sets out the likely result before work begins.

What should I include in the request?

The address or postcode, the property type, which elevations or surfaces are involved, access restrictions and timing, plus photographs if you have them. We ask for the asbestos register and drainage drawings before any roof or gutter work.
