The town
A brick-built old core in the valley, working estates on the edges
High Wycombe lies about five miles north of our base in Marlow, up the A404. Its commercial property runs from town-centre premises, retail sites and managed developments to business parks, warehouses and industrial units. Entrances and customer routes carry a different priority from yards and service areas that must keep working.
- Town centre
- The historic core around the High Street, the Grade I listed Guildhall and the parish church sits on the floor of the Wye valley, within the High Wycombe conservation area, and much of it is pedestrian only. Most of its buildings are brick, often painted, some rendered or stuccoed over older timber frames. Where traditional materials meet modern extensions or repairs, the survey records each change of material.
- Industrial estates
- Cressex Business Park, near junction 4 of the M40, mixes industrial units with offices and trade counters; the Sands Industrial Estate to the west is traditional industrial and warehouse stock. Both bring coated cladding, large roofs, service yards and delivery routes that stay in use during the works.
- Local conditions
- Traffic on the A40 through the valley and the M40 to the south leaves film on roadside elevations and forecourts. Nearby trees and shaded elevations encourage algae, and hard surfaces collect tyre marks and grime from daily use.
- Managed property
- An enquiry may cover one customer-facing building, a managed development or several properties. Each is surveyed and specified on its own; several sites under one contact are covered by multi-site and portfolio contracts.

Safety and site control
Planned before we arrive
- Roofs
- We identify the roof covering before any work is proposed and request the asbestos register. Asbestos-cement and fragile roofs are never pressure-washed or walked on.
- Wash water
- We plan wash-water control and drain protection for every site.
- Listed and conservation buildings
- We use test areas and low-pressure methods on listed and conservation-area buildings.
- Schools and care settings
- We work in school holidays and INSET days, or behind exclusion zones away from pupils and residents.

Questions
Common questions
Which commercial properties can you take on in High Wycombe?
Offices, shops, hospitality premises, managed developments, schools, care settings, warehouses and industrial units, in the town centre and on the estates.
Can roofs, gutters and façades be cleaned together?
Yes, where the surfaces and access are suitable. One survey covers them, and the specification of works sequences them around how the roof and gutters affect the elevations and ground below.
Can the works be planned around deliveries and customers?
Yes. Works are phased zone by zone behind agreed exclusion areas, around vehicle movements on the estates and footways in the town centre, so access can be maintained wherever the site conditions allow. Out-of-hours working is available.
What documentation do we receive?
A fixed-price proposal after the survey, with a specification of works, programme and exclusions and no day rates or overrun charges; site-specific RAMS before mobilisation; and a completion report with before-and-after photography, a defect schedule and a planned preventative maintenance (PPM) proposal.
What should I send with the enquiry?
The full address, the property type, the surfaces involved, photographs if available, any access or operational constraints and your preferred timeframe. For roof or gutter work we also ask for the site's asbestos register and drainage drawings.
Next step
Request a Site Survey
Tell us about the High Wycombe property and the surfaces that need attention. We survey the surfaces, drainage and access, then send a fixed-price proposal.
